Strictly fans praise Rylan's debut but are frustrated by him 'interrupting' guests

Rylan Clark-Neal was praised after his Strictly: It Takes Two debut today - but some fans were left frustrated as they accused him of "interrupting" guests.

The 30-year-old presenter joined Zoe Ball on the BBC spin-off show for the first time this evening and instantly charmed viewers with their chemistry.

At the beginning of the programme, the pair performed a skit as Rylan pretended to be Zoe sitting in a chair, blonde wig facing the camera.

However Zoe also made sure she got a joke in at Rylan's veneers and showed off her own fake teeth.

As the 45 minute-long show got underway, viewers flocked to Twitter to gush about Rylan's presenting on the show.

One tweeted: "OMG @ZoeTheBall @Rylan not laughed so much on #ItTakesTwo fo agesyour faces a fabulous addition to the show Rylan and lovely to have you back Zoeteatime Telly back to its best!!❤️❤️#copacabana #Strictly."

However another wrote: "I like rylan well enough as a presenter and he’s got good chemistry with Zoe, but I hope he learns quickly not to talk over guests during the chat segments. #ItTakesTwo."

A third remarked: "Stop interrupting, Rylan. You're not Richard Madeley. #Strictly #ItTakesTwo."

Strictly started off with a bang on Saturday, with a number of celebrities mightily impressing the judges.

However none shocked them more than former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher, who had been drafted in at the last minute after Jamie Laing had to leave the competition following a nasty injury.

Kelvin, 35, stunned viewers with his snake hips as he danced the Samba with professional dancer Oti.

Following his performance, judges Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas leaped to their feet and showered him with praise and was awarded an impressive score of 32.

Trailing behind are were Karim and Amy, with 31, and Michelle and Giovanni and Dev and Dianne with 30.

Sitting at the bottom of the leaderboard sits James and Luba, who scored just 11. Just behind them are Chris and Karen with just 13.

However it isn't all over for the bottom couples, who can still improve their scores this Saturday with their second dance. The public will then have the chance to save their favourite from getting the boot on Sunday's show.
