Strictly fans furious as Oti Mabuse doesn't have celebrity partner - but all hope isn't lost

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left furious tonight after it was revealed that Oti Mabuse was paired up with Jamie Laing - who has since quit the show.

The Made in Chelsea star appeared on tonight's launch show, which was filmed a week ago, despite having since confirmed that he would no longer be taking part.

Jamie was forced to pull out by doctors after he damaged a tendon in his right foot by awkwardly landing during the dance.

Medical professionals told him he wouldn't be able to meet the minimum weekly requirement of 12 hours of training.

This evening, viewers watched as Jamie was coupled with Oti - leaving them worried that she would no longer be taking part in this year's show too.

However Mirror Online confirmed last week that there would be a celebrity replacement, for the first time in the show's 15-year history.

This means that Oti might still be paired up with another celebrity, despite losing Jamie as a partner.

Speaking as news of his quitting broke, Jamie said: "I'm absolutely devastated that I’m unable to continue in the competition, I was so excited to hit the dance floor!

"I would like to wish the lovely couples all the very best and hope they enjoy their time on the show to the fullest."

The 30-year-old reality star was spotted hobbling around London on crutches days after the filming, being accompanied by his girlfriend Sophie Haboo.
