Strictly fans fear Aljaz is leaving show for good after he and Sara were eliminated

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were in a spin as Sara Davies and her partner Aljaz Škorjanec were voted off the show in the dreaded dance off.

Dragons' Den star Sara became the seventh contestant to be eliminated from the BBC dance contest as she faced Tilly Ramsay in the dreaded dance off.

And as she and Aljaz gave their bowing out speeches fans were panicked when they thought he hinted at leaving Strictly for good when he said: "I’m going to miss everything about this show."

"I'm sure I heard Aljaz say he will 'miss the show' implying that this is his last season!" said @Bubblymatie

"Surely @AljazSkorjanec isnt leaving strictly...." wondered @Sophiedcfc92

"Errrm excuse why, why did Alijaz sound like he was leaving #strictly? No, no, no. He is too precious and joyful. No," commented @carrie_walsh_

“I’m going to miss everything about this show”… no Aljaz please don’t say the rumours are true about you leaving Strictly!" cried @kimberlyjrainey

And @aa_mcintosh22 said: "Did Aljaž just hint at it being his last year? Please don’t be the case, what a joy he is to the show."

Aljaž, who was born in Slovenia, is a 19-time Slovenian champion in Ballroom, Latin and Ten Dance.

He joined Strictly in the 11th series in 2013 and, after being partnered with model Abbey Clancy, Aljaz became the fourth professional to win in his first series.

His celeb partners over the years also include This Morning presenter Alison Hammond, Call the Midwife actress Helen George, model Daisy Lowe and former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actress Gemma Atkinson.

During Sunday's dance off (November 14) both couples performed their routines again.

Tilly and her partner Nikita Kuzmin performed their quickstep to I Won’t Dance by Damita Jo.

Then, Sara and Aljaz Škorjanec performed their Argentine Tango to No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) by Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.

All four Strictly judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, Head Judge, Shirley Ballas chose to save Tilly.

When asked by Tess about their time on the show, Sara said: "I had no idea any of this was in me. It’s been a life changing experience and one I’ve loved every second of."

And Aljaz said: ‘I feel like from that day we met under the Angel of the North, I was so pleased to dance with you this season. "Honestly, I wouldn’t want to dance with anybody else.

"You have been an absolute joy and a testament to hard work - not just on Strictly but with your business and you’re a beautiful mother.

"Thank you for letting me spend so much time not just with you, but with the whole family, the Davies’s that are here tonight, all of the little ones at home.

"I’ve been so welcomed up north, it made me feel like I’m back home in Slovenia because everyone is so lovely and friendly.

"I’m going to miss you so much. I’m going to miss dancing with you. I’m going to miss everything about this show.

"Thank you everyone and thank you for supporting us.’

Sara responded: "Aljaz is one in a million. I tell him every day and this wouldn’t have been the experience it was, if it wasn’t for him."
