Strictly fans demand this week's elimination is cancelled after Nicola and Katya exit

Strictly Come Dancing fans have called for this week's elimination to be "cancelled" after Nicola Adams and Katya Jones' shock exit earlier this week.

The pair were forced to pull out of the competition after Katya tested positive for Covid-19.

As part of the rules, any pair within which the celebrity or professional dancer contracts coronavirus will automatically need to withdraw from the competition.

Despite their early exit, the show was back last night and a results show this evening will see  one celebrity booted out of the competition.

And it is likely to be a shock, considering last night's leaderboard...

But fans have called for the elimination to be cancelled and took to Twitter to comment.

One tweeted: "No one deserves to go out tonight as Nicola has gone. #Strictly."

While another commented: "With Katya and Nicola unexpectedly gone @bbcstrictly shouldn't eliminate anyone this week as they've already lost a couple #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly2020."

A third wrote: "Why is someone leaving tomorrow if Nicola and katya has to leave??? #Strictly."

Last night, Clara rose to the top with partner Aljaz after scoring an impressive 29 out of 30 for her Charleston.

Down at the bottom, however, were JJ and Amy after failing to impress with their Jive, which they scored just 17 for.
