Strictly fans complain about Tess and Claudia's 'boring' outfits on Halloween Week

Strictly Come Dancing fans were in the mood for the show's Halloween Week as spooky celebrations fall this weekened.

So there was disappointment when hosts Claudia Winkleman didn't embrace the theme with their outfit choices.

The celebrity contestants and their professional partners and all four judges went all out for Halloween with OTT costumes and makeup.

But fans of the BBC dance show moaned that Tess and Claudia didn't appear to have made an effort for the occasion.

Instead of eye-catching costumes fans complained when they stepped out in 'boring black dresses.'

"Why don’t Claudia and Tess have costumes?" asked one fan on Twitter.

"Loving Motsi as Maleficent and Anton as the Riddler. I am a little sad Tess & Claudia don't have costumes," said another.

"Tess Daily has come dressed as a human woman tonight for Halloween," another pointed out.

"I guess Claudia and Tess didn’t get the memo that it is Halloween," grumbled another.

"Time Tess and Claudia dressed up for Halloween week," said another with an angry face emoji.

"Claudia and Tess’s Halloween outfit are basically just boring black dresses," another tweeted.

But their outfits received the thumbs-up from other fans.

"Tess and Claudia’s dresses are both gorgeous tonight" said one.

And another approved: "Added point for dress with pockets for Claudia."

Fans of the BBC One dance show previously complained during the launch show after they clocked the pair still observing social distancing by standing apart.

One fan of the show grumbled on Twitter: "The social distancing between Claudia and Tess is OLD. And out of date."

"Claudia and Tess should stop with the social distance stuff, so 2020," said another.

But a Strictly spokesperson said the presenters will continue to adhere to social distancing.

"Strictly Come Dancing has, and will, continue to follow strict government guidelines to ensure the safety of all on the show," they said.
