Strictly fans complain about Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly social distancing as the show returns

Strictly Come Dancing is back for 2021 with the razzle-dazzle fans have been waiting for.

Celeb dancers and judges took to the stage with a flamboyant routine on the launch of the BBC show.

But fans quickly complained on Twitter when they spotted that the presenters Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly appeared to be social distancing.

"Claudia and Tess should stop with the social distance stuff, so 2020," grumbled one.

"What’s with the ridiculous social distancing? Claudia and Tess had a publicity photo with them hugging each other!" commented another.

"Why are Tess and Claudia so far apart?" asked another viewer.

"Why are they still doing stupid social distancing?" quizzed a second.

And they went on: "Judges with screens between them, Claudia and Tess stood apart, audience apart. You can fill out a football stadium now. Come on!" moaned another viewer.

"Really don't know why Tess and Claudia are 2m apart," another fan wondered.

"The social distancing between Claudia and Tess is OLD. And out of date," another viewer tweeted.

"No need to stand apart Tess and Claudia," said another.
