Strictly fans call for Anton Du Beke to become permanent judge as he replaces Motsi

Strictly Come Dancing fans have called for Anton Du Beke to become a permanent judge on the show.

The professional dancer replaced Motsi Mabuse this evening as she quarantines for two weeks.

Motsi had left the UK to jet to Germany for an emergency, meaning that she won't be on the show for a fortnight.

And Anton was a big hit with viewers, who have called for him to become a permanent fixture on the show.

From his wry digs at the other judges to his comments to fellow dancers, viewers loved him.

Viewers flocked to Twitter to comment, with one writing: "Anton has been saving up the SHADE for this moment. #Strictly"

While another commented: "@bbcstrictly @TheAntonDuBeke Ok enough already these last few years Strictly, just give Anton a full time judge's role!

"Anton is channeling some weird blending of Len and Brucy. #Strictly ," another pointed out.

One commented: "@TheAntonDuBeke genius having Anton as a judge on #Strictly."
