Strictly fans beg for Anne-Marie to go on main show after wowing in Christmas special

Strictly Come Dancing fans want to see Anne-Marie on the main show after she won this year's Christmas special.

The pop star and her professional dance partner Graziano di Prima secured a perfect score of 40 on tonight's festive special of the BBC One show and now fans want to see her give Strictly a go for a whole series.

She did a cha cha to Christmas song, Feliz Navidad, and secured 10 points each from all the four judges - Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton du Beke and Motsi Mabuse.

Viewers of the show took to social media to beg Anne-Marie to go on the full series next winter as they praised her incredible dancing skills.

Speaking after her win, Anne-Marie admits she missed host Tess Daly revealing she had won, as she said: "I didn't hear my name then, I'm so happy. He wanted it so bad as well, I'm so happy."

She had previously suggested she could just "whack out a song quickly" if things didn't go to plan.

"I am about 15 million per cent excited. If it all goes wrong, I may just whack out a song quickly and hope that that gets me a few points but I’m trying hard, I’m learning so much," she said.
