Strictly 'curse' strikes Kevin Clifton as Anneka Rice asks what's in his trousers

The Strictly Come Dancing Curse may have struck already - live on today's This Morning.

Anneka Rice and Kevin Clifton were discussing how they were getting on in training before scandal ensued in the studio.

The TV presenter, 60, was mid-sentence when she abruptly stopped after feeling something hard in her professional dance partner's trousers.

Looking down towards Kevin's lap, Anneka asked: "We didn't even think we could...what's that?"

"That's my phone," explained Kevin, while presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby burst out laughing.

The This Morning hosts were beside themselves and fell back on the sofa while giggling.

Kevin was initially left speechless then added: "Easy Anneka."

Giggling Phillip joked: "Oh my god it's the Strictly curse already. Week one."

"There we go," said Kevin as Phil continued to giggle. The pro dancer added: "We didn't expect that this morning."

Holly then tried to reign the show back in and restore harmony but everyone had a serious case of the giggles.

Some This Morning viewers are convinced that Anneka and Kevin could become an item.

One viewer said: "She definitely has a thing for him"

"She fancies Kevin no wonder he looks scared," added another.

Kevin explained that Anneka has an analytical brain and he makes dancing make sense to her in a mathematical way.

She said: "It's so joyful. This week I feel I’m dancing with my heart. I’m not using my feet."

Phil joked: "Keep your hand off his phone."

The pair danced a Cha Cha Cha to Gloria by Laura Branigan in week one, with the lyric cleverly changed to 'Anneka'.

Craig revel Horwood said there was a dancer wanting to get out of her, while Bruno Toniloi said there were a few wrong turns but she got there in the end.

Will Anneka and Kevin survive the first elimination?

*This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am
