Beloved competition series Strictly Come Dancing is finally back on BBC One for its latest series.
Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be there to keep the judges from getting too rowdy, as this year sees the return of Craig Revel-Horwood, Bruno Tonioli, and Shirley Ballas.
Joining the panel its Motsi Mabuse, sister of professional dancer Oti, who takes the place of Dame Darcey Bussell following her departure from the show.
As we welcome celebrities such as Michelle Visage and Anneka Rice to the dancefloor for their first week of the competition, we have to wonder how well celebrities did on their first week across the series' history.
Strictly Come Dancing: What is the highest score ever awarded on Week 1?
The record for the highest ever score ever awarded in Week 1 of a series of Strictly Come Dancing belongs to television and radio presenter Zoe Ball.
Zoe Ball scored 35 out of 40 in her first week of the competition, winning huge praise for her waltz to Take It to the Limit by Eagles.
Ball went on to host the sister show It Takes Two from Claudia Winkleman in 2011 and covered for Claudia on the main show in 2014 when she was on leave as her daughter suffered serious burns.
The presenter still fronts It Takes Two and will continue throughout the new series, now joined by Rylan Neal-Clark.
We say she's earned her stripes!
Other high scorers in their first week include Emma Bunton in series 4, as did Kelly Brook and Penny Lancaster-Stewart in series 5, Cherie Lunghi in series 6, and Jason Donovan in series 9, who all scored 33 out of 40.
Strictly Come Dancing Week 1 begins tonight on BBC One.
