Strictly Come Dancing - LIVE : Week two will see voting lines open for first time as Joe Suggs and Faye Tozer look to keep impressing the judges
Strictly gets serious this week as voting lines officially open leaving one couple at risk of being unceremoniously eliminated from the competition before it’s truly begun.
Nobody wants to be the first to go home, so the stakes are high – especially with movie week on the horizon next weekend.
Comedian Seann Walsh and his dance partner Katya will jive to Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing” while YouTuber Joe Sugg and his partner, Dianne, are set to perform a Charleston set to wedding disco favourite “Cotton Eye Joe".
I am IN LOVE with Amy's dress. Wondering if I could get away with it for the office on Monday. Danny looks quite serious, there's some nifty footwork in there, it's very fast. Not bad for a bloke in his 50s.
Danny was fantastic last week, in his shocking pink suit. So he must be nervous about living up to that tonight. He's been in a lot of pain this week, waking up at 4am with cramps and dealing with swollen toes. This VT suggests he's also lost the ability to count. Eek, good luck Danny!
How can Shirley say he's consistent? It's only week two! She says it was a mix of mishaps and amazing moments. Brrrruno liked it a lot. He says Lee is inconsistent. There's a lack of consistency from the judges about whether Lee is consistent. My head hurts.
Oh and Craig says he has musicality. Singing All Rise on repeat will do that for you.
Craig calls it a 'dance dis-ah-ster!' - one for those of you playing Strictly bingo! Darcey gives him a light slap on the wrist in the way that only a prima ballerina can. Shirley says Susannah improved and, to be fair, what more can you ask?
Anton's in top hat and tails, the band are playing Sinatra and costume have given Susannah a dazzling midnight blue frock. It's all much more appealing than last week and Susannah looks infinitely happier. But Anton is literally dragging her around the floor with a constant commentary of instruction.
Look, however bad Susannah's dancing was last week, let's remember she found herself groping Anton's orange lycra-clad bum on national television. She will always have my sympathy. Now she's dancing a foxtrot with the King of Ballroom. Seems like a step up.
Brrrrrruno loved it, he says Joe reminds him of a playful puppy. Craig says he's ticking a lot of boxes and Shirley is showering them with compliments.
Dianne is giving us full on CBeebies vibes here, which I could do without. And the camera spinning round is making me feel dizzy. The ladder is boring. Other than that, Joe is immensely likeable and looks to be giving this Charleston a good go.
The judges have cheered up! Craig tells Aljaz he has transformed Kate and Shirley even says she could win. Wow. Did someone slip them a G&T and some Haribo in the last five minutes?
Remember the final leaderboard is decided by combining last week’s scores with tonight’s marks. Can pop stars Faye Tozer and Ashley Roberts be knocked off the top spot?
