Strictly Come Dancing, week two – as it happened: Latest scores and leaderboard as voting opens

Strictly gets serious this week as voting lines officially open leaving one couple at risk of being unceremoniously eliminated from the competition before it’s truly begun.

Nobody wants to be the first to go home, so the stakes are high – especially with movie week on the horizon next weekend.

Comedian Seann Walsh and his dance partner Katya will jive to Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing” while YouTuber Joe Sugg and his partner, Dianne, are set to perform a Charleston set to wedding disco favourite “Cotton Eye Joe".

What a show! I actually really like the fact that lots of the couples weren't quite up to scratch. That's how it should be in week two, they need somewhere to go as they embark on that all-important 'Strictly journey.' The results show will be on BBC1 at 7.15 tomorrow night, featuring a 'paso-tango' fusion dance from the pros (hell yeah!). And next week is Movie Week!

See you then Strictly friends...
So, it's the first elimination tomorrow night and the bottom four couples are Graeme and Oti, Seann and Katya, Katie and Gorka and Susannah and Anton. But Anton is wildly popular. And I think Seann and Katie will both get lots of votes. So we could be in for some surprises tomorrow night...
Ashley and Pasha: Cha cha scores

Craig: 8
Darcey: 8
Shirley: 7
Bruno: 9
Total: 32

Wowzer, the first 9 of the series! It leaves Ashley at the top of the leaderboard with Susannah at the bottom...

Ooh Shirley's not joining in. She says she holds Ashley to a higher standard and starts nit-picking. Brrruno is loving it though. Obviously. 'Your hips don't lie honey, they're telling me fabulous things.' Sit down, Bruno.
'You are good' says Craig. Just a mild understatement there.
Yes Ashley!! This is spectacular. As you might expect from someone who danced in the Pussycat Dolls, but let's not take anything away from her, she's really putting on a show and making it look effortless.
It's the final couple of the night! Ashley and Pasha. Or 'Par-sha' as she calls him (I love her accent). They're doing a cha cha to Boogie Wonderland and I'm expecting this to be absolutely incredible. Fun fact: there are 500 jewels hand sewn onto Ashley's top for this dance. Apparently it's very heavy.
Seann and Katya: Jive scores

Craig: 2
Darcey: 4
Shirley: 4
Bruno: 5
Total: 15

'It's fair enough, it went so well in rehearsal!' says Seann. At least that should cheer Susannah up.
Claudia trying to claim it was magnificent. No Claudia, everyone has admitted mistakes were made, it's just patronising to say otherwise.
'I don't know what to say, you did all the right steps at the wrong time,' says Brrrruno. And Craig even says he feels sorry for Seann, which is very rare. Shirley says she liked his hair - COMEDY GOLD! We love Shirley.
Oh no, he missed his timing at the beginning and it took a while to recover. This is fast jive music for someone with so little experience and he's trying. But this is weak and even Katya's signature moves aren't saving it. Brace yourselves...
Why, oh why, are Seann and Katya dancing to Jill Halfpenny's iconic jive music? She is the QUEEN of the jive. This is madness. Obviously, in Strictly tradition, Jill pops up in the VT. We love Jill. We do not love Seann trying to be Jill. I'm scared for him.
Lauren and AJ: Charleston scores

Craig: 5
Darcey: 6
Shirley: 5
Bruno: 6
Total: 22

'AJ is brutal in the training room!' says Lauren. Maybe not brutal enough.
It got better towards the end, but they'll need to do more if they're serious about winning the competition. Shirley says Lauren looked uncomfortable with the lifts but Brrrrruno thinks it was worth giving them a go. He says it needed to be sharper. Craig said it needed more energy.

I can't believe I've left it this late to compliment Craig on his crushed red velvet jacket. Fab-u-lous, darling!
The less said about this version Dua Lipa's New Rules the better. This Charleston feels very slow, especially compared to Joe's frenetic routine earlier. In fact it's verging on boring. Why all this schtick with the phone cord? Stop it.
Lauren and AJ have declared themselves the most competitive couple in the competition and promised 'death-defying' lifts here. Pass me the popcorn...
Faye and Giovanni: Viennese Waltz scores

Craig: 8
Darcey: 8
Shirley: 7
Bruno: 8
Total: 31

Take that, Ashley and Pasha!
Darcey loved it, the drama took her breath away. It really did, she said it twice. Shirley calls it 'lovely storytelling'. The judges loved it, but we've seen before that voters don't like it when the pros veer away from traditional choreography. Saying that, they'll be high enough on the leaderboard to get away with it this week.
Wow, there were five Giovannis! And now just one. Where did they go? And why was Faye on the floor? I suspect Len Goodman would have called that opening 'faffing around'. There's a lot of tango attitude in this, which feels misplaced. The bits in hold are fabulous. I worry Giovannis has been too ambitious...
Full disclosure: I am a child of the STEPS generation and I love Faye. She and Giovanni are performing a dizzying Viennese Waltz. 'I wanted to do something different, let's see what the people think,' said Giovanni on this week's It Takes Two. This worries me. Although his choreography is always reliably stunning.

Remember the final leaderboard is decided by combining last week’s scores with tonight’s marks. Can pop stars Faye Tozer and Ashley Roberts be knocked off the top spot?
