Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite is the first male celebrity to perform on Strictly Come Dancing with a male partner in a same-sex coupling.
He and partner Johannes Radebe took the dancefloor by storm last night (Saturday), with a paso doble inspired by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean.
They are the first couple in Strictly history to receive three ten-point scores in week three.

The energetic routine saw Whaite channelling Captain Jack Sparrow, with the couple nailing some challenging moves, while incorporating some of the action from the film series.
Saturday's show was opened with all contestants paired in same sex couples.
Matthew Hodson, executive director of NAM Publication - a charity which shares information about HIV and AIDS - has today tweeted: "Same sex dancing is like same sex marriage: once it’s here, it seems so natural and right it’s hard to imagine why it ever never was.
"I love to see LGBTQ people not just included but celebrated. I know how much this would have meant to me as a queer teen in the 80s."
His tweet has been liked thousands of times, with many fans of the show rushing to comment.
