Strictly Come Dancing tour: Rose Ayling-Ellis falls on stage as Tilly Ramsay shows wounds

The pain and difficulties of ballroom dancing is being shown during Strictly Come Dancing's live tour across the country.

And latest Strictly champion Rose Ayling-Ellis is mastering the art of keeping calm and carrying on, after narrowly avoiding taking a tumble in footage published on Twitter.

Strictly Come Dancing star Rose came across some embarrassing video material of herself in the lead-up to her much-awaited tour dates.

In it, she had been clutching onto dance partner Giovanni Pernice with one arm, but suddenly began to wildly flail around with the other.

She then stumbled at the top step of the stage, nearly falling and twisting her ankle, but managed to regain her composure and clamber down the remaining stairs, the Express reports.

Rose's priority was to avoid skipping a beat and continue as if nothing had happened and her attitude was praised by scores of fans who hailed her as a "queen".

"Of course rose almost stacked it down those stairs!" wrote @maddiesbuckleys, who had posted the clip.

Using the tears of laughter emoji, she observed: "Giovanni’s face after is absolutely sending me..."

Rose demonstrated her good humour by returning the laughter emojis back to her and quipping: "Just carry on and act it didn't happen."

@weestacey10 replied: "You are an absolute queen we love you Rose."

@mamaleelee sympathised: "We've all done it. Stairs and heels, not a good combination!"

@Suesp1704 chimed in: "Recovered like the true professional you are."

@Sioux_Duncan was as nonchalant as Rose, suggesting: "Style it out girl just style it out."

Rose's lack of hearing means she has experience in adapting and finding coping strategies to situations.

Deaf since birth, she interprets the music on stage by feeling its vibrations.

She went on to become Strictly's first ever deaf contestant and, together with Giovanni, sailed to victory in the 2021 show.

Her campaigning also encouraged the show to hire a BSL (British Sign Language) interpreter for the tour, to help those with hearing difficulties still feel included.

Co-star Sara Davies praised of the move: "Honestly, it’s so inspiring to see just how powerful representation is and the difference it can make.

"Everyone should be allowed to experience the full magic of the show and I have no doubt that this will encourage and empower more members from the deaf community."

Giovanni has been supportive throughout this special time, even getting a SCD tattoo with the date of their win, 18-12-2021, etched onto his wrist.

Meanwhile, Rose was quick to point out it wasn't just her who'd had mishaps when she jokingly called out fellow Strictly tour dancer Nancy Xu for her wardrobe malfunction.

She had been wearing fringed trousers, but an unexpected rip caused them to tear and sag open, revealing part of her underwear underneath.

"Ripped trousers before show oops. @nancy_xuxi", Rose mischievously wrote on a photo published to her Instagram account.

Meanwhile Tilly Ramsay has shown off her 'war wounds' after she tripped and fell during a performance in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.

The 20-year-old daughter of Gordon Ramsay took to Instagram to share her bruises and scrapes after the fall.

Embarrassing moments aside, the Strictly tour continues, with "33 sequin-filled shows" already underway.
