Strictly Come Dancing to pay tribute to winner Caroline Flack in one-off special this year

Strictly Come Dancing will pay tribute to winner Caroline Flack in a one-off special to air later this year.

The Love Island host, 40, tragically took her own life at her London home in February.

Caroline won the BBC dancing show in 2014 with professional dance partner Pasha Kovalev.

In a one-off special later this year, Strictly will remember Caroline's time on the series.

A large part of BBC One's Strictly: The Best Of The Final will focus on Caroline's time on the show.

Among those paying tribute to Caroline will be her former partner Pasha and her close friend Janette Manrara, who still dances on the show.

A source told The Sun: "Caroline was loved by all on Strictly and was a hugely popular winner among the executives and the crew."

They added that she was a "bundle of energy" and that if they would look at some of the best finals ever it would be "fitting to feature her in a big way".

Her beautiful routine to Robbie Williams' Angels with partner Pasha is still considered one of the best ever dances on Strictly.

Strictly hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will present The Best Of series, which will also feature judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.
