Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher will replace injured reality star Jamie Laing on Strictly Come Dancing.
Kelvin, 35, will replace the Made In Chelsea star after Jamie hurt himself during filming.
Kelvin is best known for playing Andy Sugden on the ITV rural soap between 1996 and 2016.
He will make his debut on the BBC dance show on Saturday September 21.
Kelvin, from Oldham, will join fellow soap stars Catherine Tyldesley, formerly of Coronation Street, and EastEnders favourite Emma Barton who plays Honey Mitchell in the BBC1 show.
Kelvin said: "Is this really happening? It's been the most surreal week of my life. I'm a massive fan of Strictly so it's incredible.
"I'm so happy that I can be a part of it. But at the same time it's quite bittersweet. I'm coming in on the back of Jamie's injury - I keep thinking about him.
"I can't imagine going through all this excitement and then having to pull out. My thoughts are with him - he seems like a fantastic guy and I hope he's doing OK."
Messages came flooding in from Strictly viewers and well-wishers as Jamie was introduced to Oti in a pre-recorded episode which saw celebs meet their professional dance partners.
Strictly tweeted: "He may not be taking to the Strictly dancefloor due to an injury, but here's the moment Jamie Laing was paired with Pro Oti Mabuse. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jamie!"
"Gutted Jamie Laing isn’t going to be in strictly this year," said one viewer.
"I can’t believe how gutted I am that Jamie Laing is not going to be in Strictly," tweeted another.
"He was already the best TV tonight and Oti is my favourite pro."
Father-of-two Kelvin's character was adopted by Jack and Sarah Sugden.
His final scenes saw him bid an emotional farewell to his brother Robert as a fugitive on the run, leaving behind his on-off girlfriend Bernice Blackstock, after being framed for the murder of Lawrence White.
