The Wanted star Jay McGuiness wants fans to see more of the backstage arguments on Strictly Come Dancing because he claims there's so much drama that goes unreported.
The singer, 29, won the 2015 series of the BBC1 show, but has suggested there are plenty of tears and tantrums that viewers don't see.
Speaking to The Sun , Jay revealed the unseen moments are mostly "when people are really struggling, or when people are really angry and upset and they try to let everyone have their minute."
Jay suggested the public will never really get an understanding of the behind the scenes drama.
He said: "Loads more happens on Strictly than is reported, and nearly everything that is reported is not exactly what happened."
Jay is to appear in Sleepless in Seattle's musical adaptation, Sleepless: A Musical Romance, on the West End stage with Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh.
The pair previously worked together on Big: The Musical last year.
Kimberley, who also appeared on Strictly in the 2012 series, claimed her run on the show did not see as much drama as Jay's.
The songstress noted: "It just happened to be a dull one."
Jay, meanwhile, thinks that the hair and make-up teams behind the dance show hold all the cards when it comes to show secrets and would have huge success with a tell-all book.
"Millions would be sold, lots of secrets," he said.
Sleepless: A Musical Romance is due to open at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre on April 1, 2020.
