Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell teases Joe Sugg romance rumours: ‘Hello boyfriend’

Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell have poked fun at reports they have struck up a romance, with Buswell referring to the YouTube star as her “boyfriend”.

The dancing duo have been plagued by reports they have grown close during their time on the Strictly Come Dancing, doing little to dispel the rumours.

They further sparked speculation on Sunday evening after enjoying a cosy evening at Sugg’s house to film a reaction video to their Halloween performance.

Speaking in the video Sugg said: “Dianne’s round my house I can’t believe it. That can only mean one thing. Dianne’s round my house filming a video – must mean we’re going out with each other.”

Buswell joined in adding: “Oh my God! Call the cops. It must mean that. Hello boyfriend.”

The video comes days after Sugg shut down talk of a romance after it was reported they had fallen victim to the infamous ‘Strictly curse’.

Asked if there was a spark between himself and Buswell he said: “No, I don’t think so. I haven’t got time.

“But after the show finishes we’ll stay friends.”

Split: Dianne Buswell with her ex Anthony Quinlan (Instagram / Dianne Buswell)

Buswell was dating Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan when the series kicked off earlier this year, but they confirmed their split last week.

Sources claimed it was due to Buswell’s relationship with Sugg, but Quinlan dismissed the reports, insisting they called it quits over the long distance.

“We’re still really good friends – it’s just distance played a part,” he told the Daily Star. "There were all these rumours about the ‘Strictly’ curse but it wasn’t that.

Sugg is one of the favourites to take the title of 2018 Strictly champion after impressing with his footwork despite having no prior dance experience.
