Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Odudu claims partner Kai Widdrington has 'ditched her'

TV star AJ Odudu has said her Strictly Come Dancing partner Kai Widdrington has ditched her.

The 33-year-old has been scoring high with the judges during the BBC Strictly live shows but in a recent video said she had been ditched for another pro dancer.

In the footage, AJ joked Kai had ditched her for fellow pro dancer Giovanni Pernice after another late-night rehearsal on Monday, November 8, Birmingham Live reports.

"Hello. It's Pasa Doble day one. Are you excited?" asked AJ, before she used her video to pan to a shot of Kai.

The pro dancer was seen on the phone - talking to Giovanni Pernice!

AJ joked: "He's so excited that he's just ditched me, for Giovanni."

Giovanni beamed: "I'm so excited too."

Saturday night's show ended with TV presenter AJ Odudu and partner Kai Widdrington at the top of the leaderboard after dazzling with their Charleston.

Motsi Mabuse told her: "I feel so proud, proud of that dance, it was so authentic, everything you put on.

"You came in at a high level but you didn't sit at that level, you took it even higher."

Shirley Ballas added: "I don't think I have a panel big enough for you, that was off the chart."

They were given a score of 39, putting the pair at the top of the leaderboard.
