Strictly Come Dancing: Spoiler result revealed as fans 'relieved' after final 3 'confirmed'

The semi-final of Strictly Come Dancing was held last night (Saturday, December 11), with the four remaining couples battling it out to try to secure a place in next week's final.

With each couple performing two dances each, in the end it was Rose Ayling-Ellis and AJ Odudu who came joint first after scoring a combined 79 points out of 80.

Just behind them was John Whaite, who scored 78, with Rhys Stephenson in last position with 74 points, as reported by YorkshireLive.

As the results show is pre-recorded on Saturday night before being aired on Sunday evening, fans can usually find out who has gone on Twitter through the leaking of the 'Strictly Spoiler'.

The usual source of the spoiler admitted to fans early on Sunday morning that they "didn't have a mole this week" - but that seemingly did not stop the result from leaking elsewhere.

After someone tweeted they had received "confirmation of the result from someone who was in the audience", they went on to reveal who had seemingly been eliminated.

And while we are not going to reveal the result, there was some reaction to it.

One tweeted : "I'm relieved. Right result", with another commenting: "I’m just excited for the dream final next week."

One Strictly fan similarly tweeted: "If the #strictlyspoiler i read is true, then the dream final is coming next week and i’m so excited."

The Strictly Come Dancing results show will air tonight on BBC One at 7.20pm.
