Strictly Come Dancing sets series high as X Factor and I'm A Celebrity slip

Strictly Come Dancing hit a series high of 10.7 million viewers on Sunday night, easily winning the ratings battle against X Factor and I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

The hit BBC1 show, which saw viewing peak at more than 11 million viewers, recorded a 45.1% share of all TV viewing between 7.15pm and 8pm on Saturday.

Simon Cowell’s X Factor lost 500,000 viewers to its results show week-on-week, to record an average of 6.8 million and a 27.8% share between 8pm and 9pm.

I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here, which airs immediately after X Factor from 9pm to 10.05pm, drew an average of 8.8 million and a 37.5% share of TV viewing in its slot. Viewing was down by 1 million compared to Sunday 15th November.

Strictly Come Dancing comfortably won Saturday night with an average of 10.3 million viewers and a 44.7% share between 6.50pm and 8.10pm.

X Factor managed an average of 6.8 million viewers and a 30% share between 8pm and 9.40pm on Saturday. I’m A Celebrity ... managed an average of 7.4 million viewers and a 35.9% share of all TV viewing between 9.40pm and 10.40pm on Saturday.

BBC1’s Doctor Who, which goes up against X Factor on Saturday nights, airing from 8.10pm to 9pm, drew an average of 4.4 million viewers as Clara, who plays the doctor’s companion, was killed off.
