Strictly Come Dancing's Tom Fletcher has changed things behind the scenes after lift

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been invested in the relationship between McFly's Tom Fletcher and Bafta winner Amy Dowden.

They've shared more of their behind-the-scenes action following a smashing performance that scored them 34 over the weekend.

In rehearsals, Tom had been struggling to lift Amy because of his lack of familiarity with the pick-up and spin move.

However, Tom and Amy smashed it on the night and it seems that it's not just down to them practising together, reports Yorkshire Live.

They spoke to Rylan on Strictly It Takes Two and revealed that practice hasn't just been formally on the dance floor.

Tom Fletcher has three sons - Buzz, Buddy and Max who have watching from home and are loving seeing their dad's new moves.

In their last dance, Tom was able to lift and flip Amy and ever since, it's completely changed their practice and rehearsals.

The change has left his kids begging to learn the moves too and it's meant the practice time has become a lot more hectic.

So professional dancer Amy has taken matters into her own hands and has been teaching Tom's kids tricks and tips.

She told Rylan Clark on It Takes Two: "They're naturals, they pick it up just like that!"

Amy has hit the headlines already this week after winning a BAFTA Cymru for her documentary, Strictly Amy: Crohn's & Me.

The Welsh dancer gave an insight into her lifelong battle with Chrohn's disease.

Taking to social media, she wrote: "I can't believe I'm a BAFTA winner!!!

"Thank you so much!"

She continued: "I am soooo thrilled (a little bit tearful) to win a BAFTA for my documentary Strictly Amy: Crohn’s & Me.

The documentary, Strictly Amy: Crohn's & Me, detailed her battle with Crohn's disease and life with the debilitating condition.

"Thank you to everyone at Wildflame TV and @bbccymruwales @bbc for all your support, my family, Ben and of course all my brave fellow IBD sufferers for sharing their stories.

Amy, 30, is a Welsh professional ballroom and Latin American dancer from Caerphilly in south Wales.

Amy joined the BBC series in 2017, and in 2019 she was a finalist with TV presenter Karim Zeroual.

The dancer, who had to delay her wedding to her partner last year due to the pandemic, has credited her family and friends for their support over the years, but Amy has also detailed how her fiancé, Ben Jones, has been "instrumental" during her battle with Crohn's.
