Sophie Wessex didn't break rules with her daughter during Strictly Come Dancing filming

The Strictly Come Dancing audience age rule has been solved.

The BBC One hit series has strict guidelines for audience members who wish to visit the studio to watch the live shows.

There was suspicion that Sophie Wessex the Countess of Wessex was a Royal rule breaker after she was spotted sitting in the front row on Saturday's instalment of the dancing show with her 15-year-old daughter Lady Louise Windsor.

The minimum age required to attend was shrouded in confusion after Strictly contestant James Cracknell, 47, claimed the reason why his children did not sit in the audience was because of their age.

The Olympic rower - who is father to a son, Croyde, 15, and two daughters, Kiki, ten, and Trixie, nine - told The Express: "The kids are too young at the moment.

“You can’t be in the studio audience until you’re 16, so they’re banned.”

However, the sportsman was incorrect as according to the Strictly website the minimum age of entrants to the studio is 14 and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Meanwhile, a secret pattern for the winner of the show has been revealed despite the series only being in the early stages.

Alex Scott will win the dancing show if the secret pattern is correct.

The former England football player and sport presenter, 34, is tipped to claim the glitterball trophy according to her special advantages.

The secret pattern, which has been unveiled as a result of research from all 16 of the previous Strictly series, claims Alex will be the number one dancer when the show concludes.

According in bookmakers.tv, who gathered the data, the average winner of Strictly is a 31-year-old male TV presenter.

Television hosts have historically performed the best on the dancing show with six of the previous winners holding job titles at TV presenters.

Anchors who have held the title of Strictly champions include Stacey Dooley, Ore Oduba , Natasha Kaplinsky and Caroline Flack – leaving Alex firmly in the running to place first.
