Strictly Come Dancing's Shirley Ballas thanks fans and shares 'concerning' health update

Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas has shared a 'concerning' update regarding her health.

Viewers of the BBC dancing show helped point out that she had a lump under her arm which prompted her to get checked out.

She shared an update on Instagram yesterday (Wednesday, October 27) which said it was "a little concerning for my doctor."

Although she "won't go into the details" right now, she thanked fans and shared a little update on the social media platform.

In an IGTV video she said: "Since several of you thought they saw a lump under my arm, I went to get that checked.

"The doctor said she thought my hormone levels were not right so I went and had a lot of blood work done.

"Now my testosterone has come back ultra-high, my adrenal glands need a scan and my ovaries need a scan and my oestrogen levels are extremely low, all in all, a little concerning for my doctor.

"It's all because several concerned people bothered to let me know what was going on. Anyway, I love you all and appreciate you, thank you."

In the caption, the 61-year-old famed star added that she would "keep you all updated" as she finds out more about her health.

She wrote: "Remember health is wealth, so I'll be on top of these issues for the time being.

"With gratitude to you all."

Fellow Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse commented on her post and said: "Take care of yourself."

While contestants from this years show such as John Whaite and Adam Peaty also chipped in with the positive messages.
