Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas hints at incredible celebrity line-up for 2021

Shirley Ballas has hinted that there will be an incredible celebrity line-up on this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The head judge appeared on Loose Women on Tuesday and the panel couldn't resist asking her about the popular BBC show.

When Linda Robson asked Shirley if she could tell them anything about the line-up, Shirley said: "Well let me tell you, of all panels, you have never seen such celebrities as what you are going to see on this particular show."

Referring to the show's executive producer, Shirley continued: "I have to say, Sarah James she just delights every time. She tweaks here, she tweaks there, she's outside the box.

"She is bringing a show... just when you think it couldn't get any better, it does! I'm telling you, hold onto your seats and your crash hat coz you're gonna need it!" she added.

When asked what the show would be like with Covid restrictions this year, Shirley said: "It will be back to normal, we're hoping there will be an audience.

"There will be no Blackpool due to the fact that backstage there is not enough changing facilities with good social distancing, so Miss Sarah James decided that it wouldn't be acceptable to go there - which is absolutely amazing.

"But we will still have everything at Elstree and I'm sure she's got lots of other delights up her sleeve. And we will get 13 shows and we will get all the celebrities," Shirley added.

When Kaye Adams asked Shirley if there would be a same sex couple competing on Strictly this year, she managed to avoid giving anything away.

"Well there's all sorts, the rumour mill is going! All I can tell you is put your crash hat on, wait, exciting show. You are going to be mesmerised!" she teased.

Speaking about the four new dancers joining this year's professional line-up, Shirley said: "Four brand new, beautiful professionals, I mean look at these gorgeous, gorgeous people.

"And I can tell you they’re as lovely on the inside as they are on the outside. I’m absolutely delighted that everyone going to see these boys and girls.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV.
