Strictly Come Dancing's sassy new sister act take TV dance show by storm

Strictly Come Dancing sisters Motsi and Oti Mabuse made a sensational start in the new series.

Motsi wowed as a “sassy” new judge on Saturday, while Oti and last-minute replacement partner Kelvin Fletcher won with 32 for their samba.

Rupert Adams, from bookies William Hill, said: “The Mabuse sisters have taken Strictly by storm.”

Kelvin and Oti’s odds to win are down from 10/1 to 11/8 making them the biggest favourites at this stage in eight years.

Motsi joined Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli to give them a standing ovation.

And fans also love Motsi, who replaced judge Darcey Bussell.

Gabriella Lindley said: “Motsi is exactly what Strictly needed, so full of energy.” Another viewer added: “She’s sassy and funny.”

Presenter Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden scored 31 and were second. Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell, with 11 for his tango, was last. The show had peak viewing ratings of 8.5 million.
