Strictly Come Dancing's Rose Ayling-Ellis shares previously unseen moment from final with Giovanni

The confetti may have settled and the fake tan and sparkly outfits out of sight, but Rose Ayling-Ellis won't be forgetting her Strictly Come Dancing experience in a hurry.

It's just over two weeks since viewers of the BBC One dance contest watched her and Giovanni Pernice lift the coveted Glitterball trophy.

The EastEnders star and her Italian dance partner won the tightly fought competition on December 18 during the grand final up against John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

And Rose, 27, reflected upon her history-making win in her New Year's message.

Taking to Instagram, the actress, from Manchester, posted the quote: "Stay afraid but do it anyway. What's important is the action. You don't have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow."

The quote to her thousands of followers was accompanied by a series of pictures from her year - featuring her boyfriend and on-screen family Danny Dyer and Maddie Hill.

She added: "That definitely what 2021 did for me, the year of growth, discovery and surprises.

"I cannot wait to see what 2022 would bring."

But the post also included an unseen video from the night of the Strictly final.

Rose and Giovanni, dressed in their very Strictly party outfits, were grinning from ear-to-ear with a bottle of fizz.

"Strictly Come Dancing 2021," the professional dancer said before gesturing his fists in a celebratory action.

"Yes!" Rose adds before lifting up the bottle and saying: "Pop it."

Giovanni adds: "Come on, you do it. You do," as he claps.

"I'm actually worried about this," he then says looking slightly concerned at his dance partner attempting to pop the bottle cork.

"You worry?" Rose asked him. "You would be surprised."

The bottle then pops open and Giovanni shouts: "Yay."
