Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis new favourite to win after romantic Giovanni Pernice waltz

Rose Ayling-Ellis is now the clear favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing after two top bookmakers both slashed her odds.

After the EastEnders star and professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice's fantastic weekend, two tipsters have already seen enough.

The pair have put in some very impressive performances on the dancefloor and earned consistently high scores from the judges.

The bookies are backing the actress to lift the Glitterball trophy this year, and have now put her ahead of fancied John Whaite.

But it's bad news for Judi Love - she is now a 250/1 bet. William Hill are offering Rose - the show's Strictly's first ever deaf contestant - at just 4/7.

Betfair are also sold, they have priced her up at 1/2 after Saturday's sensational display.

After she continues to storm through the rounds and after a high-scoring 37 last week for her Viennese Waltz, William Hill have acted.

Telly chef and former Great British Bake Off star John has drifted out to 7/2, while AJ Odudu remains third favourite at 6/1.

William Hill's Rupert Adams said: “There’s huge strength of confidence behind Rose Ayling-Ellis at 4/7 and with her performances in the ballroom steadily improving too, she looks tough to beat.

"John Whaite and AJ Odudu remain her nearest challengers in the market, but despite equally good performances on the dancefloor we have seen them drift to 7/2 and 6/1 respectively.”

Rose left viewers crying and delighted with her latest performance on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.

The dramatic dance, set to Alicia Keys track Fallin’, went down a treat with the judges as it allowed Rose to flex her acting muscles.

Rose and Giovanni won the second-highest score of the night at 37 from the judges in their best score of the series so far.

Judge Motsi Mabuse even awarded the EastEnders actress a perfect 10 with her score.

One viewer tweeted: “I know I'm always close to the edge at the moment but I can't help but lose it every single time Rose dances on #strictly. Beyond amazing”.

Another commented: “Am simultaneously crying and fist pumping for Rose, that was so, so good (and hot). #Strictly #scd ”.

A third put: “Rose is so beautiful and seems like a complete sweetheart. I hope her and Giovanni win”.
