Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita 'terrifies' fans with 'mouth stretcher' in bizarre quiz

Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita Kuzmin 'terrified' audiences on tonight's (October 20) episode of It Takes Two. The dancer left viewers horrified after a Strictly themed guessing game saw the dancer's mouth stretched wide open.

The behind-the-scenes show featured swimmer Ellie Simmonds as a guest alongside dance partner Nikita - both matching in vibrant pink outfits. Talking to host Jannette Manrara, the pair discussed their dance last week - with it's intriguing take on dentistry.

Jannette couldn't help but joke with the couple, as they sat on the It Takes Two sofa, saying: "The other thing that we do need to talk about is how good Nikita looked on the dentist chair!"

Jannette then explained it had 'inspired us to play a little bit of a game', as she displayed a set of board game pieces designed to stretch the mouth open. He was then given a set of cards with Strictly themes on, and struggled to say the words on the cards, while Ellie attempted to understand his jumbled words.

Jannette said: "Communication is key in a Strictly partnership, so we decided to test your communication skills." The bewildering sight left fans confused, as Ellie took a napkin to the corner of Nikita's mouth, just in case he dribbled.

Branded a 'dental fetish quiz' by one fan, other viewers saw the funny side, saying: "This will be hilarious."

Another audience member said: "This is terrifying," about the display, in which Ellie attempted - without much success - to decipher Nikita's garbled words.

The pair will be dancing a Pasodoble to The Apprentice theme, as part of Strictly's contribution to the BBC's 100th birthday. Each couple will be dancing to an iconic BBC theme - including the Doctor Who theme, and The Ballad of Barry and Freda, which Bristolian comedian Jayde Adams will perform an exciting Charleston to.

Week five of Strictly can be watched on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday night at 6.40pm.
