Strictly Come Dancing stars Maisie Smith and HRVY as so far 'just friends' despite rumours that things could be hotting up between the pair.
The stars, who are currently competing on the BBC dance show, were at the centre of a exciting romance speculation after they exchanged some flirty messages on social media.
However, an insider has maintained that there is 'nothing going on' between the singer, 21, and the EastEnders actress, 19, so far.
It comes after reports that Strictly Come Dancing bosses are also "monitoring" the pair to make sure that no Covid rules are broken.
Speaking to New! magazine, a television source has downplayed speculation of romance brewing between Maisie and HRVY.
"They get on like a house on fire, but there's nothing going on at the moment," the source confirmed.
"Strictly is an experience like no other, especially this year with all the Covid restrictions - it's created a more intense atmosphere.
The source added: "Everyone is keeping an eye on them to see how things develop.
"They are both young, attractive and single, so who knows what could happen."
A representative for Maisie and HRVY have been contacted by MirrorOnline for comment.
Both stars are among the early favourites to win the latest Strictly Come Dancing series after pulling out all the stops for their latest Strictly performances.
HRVY has also spoken of his excitement at watching 'incredible' Maisie perform.
"I love Maisie, she’s a great girl and has got great banter," the YouTube star said.
"When I saw her in her blue dress last week, she looked incredible. I can’t wait to see her grow and look amazing every week."
The performers have also shared several cheeky messages on social media that were quickly noticed by excited fans.
Despite their 'flirty' behaviour, the pair are expected to maintain a two-metre distance while they take part in the BBC competition.
This year, contestants were allowed to form an exclusive support bubble with their professional partners, but are required to wear masks and keep their distance from others.
