Strictly Come Dancing's Chris Ramsey reveals dramatic stumble that wasn't shown on TV

He broke a show record on Strictly Come Dancing last weekend after a fabulous Charleston but Chris Ramsey has revealed that things nearly went horribly wrong during the results show.

South Shields comedian Chris and professional partner Karen Hauer soared up the leaderboard after their routine to Take That's Out Of Our Heads saw them double their score from week 1 and giving them the title of the couple with the biggest jump from week 1 to week 2 in Strictly history.

Crucially, Chris and Karen also found favour with the voting public and on Sunday's results show we saw Chris react ecstatically to making it through to Movie Week.

But, just as the Chris has spilled the beans on a fall that could have ended very badly!

Speaking on his and wife Rosie's chart-topping podcast S*****d, Married, Annoyed, the 33-year-old said "I was cheering so much when we got through that I pushed her [Karen] down the stairs.

"We were on a step and she fell backwards and had to grab the banister - I picked her back up and everyone was like 'what a d**k'."

Rosie quizzed: "Was she alright?"

Revealing Karen wasn't actually injured as a result of the tumble, Chris, who this week showed off his own injuries caused by trying to master a cartwheel for the Charleston added: "She was fine, I picked her back up."

On Saturday night, millions of Strictly viewers will see Chris and Karen dance an American Smooth to Frank Sinatra classic Cheek to Cheek.
