Strictly Come Dancing's Chris Ramsey breaks show record with week 2 score

He was languishing at the bottom of the leaderboard after the first Strictly live show but that all changed at the weekend when Chris Ramsey earned high praise from the judges for his week two routine.

On Sunday's results show host Claudia Winkleman informed Chris and Karen of their new show record thanks to their big jump in score and referring to Chris' little son Robin, said "will Robin be happy with that?"

Crucially, after the judges scores were combined with viewer votes, Chris and Karen avoided the dreaded dance off and are safely through to Movie Week.

The first celeb to leave Strictly this year was James Cracknell, after the Olympic rower lost out to goalkeeper David James in the dance off.
