Strictly Come Dancing's Caroline Flack tribute has viewers in tears

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left in tears on Saturday night as the show paid tribute to former winner Caroline Flack.

Caroline, who won the show in 2014, took her own life earlier this year, with her death prompting an outpouring of grief from fans and those who worked with her.

And, as Strictly's 'best of' specials came to an end this weekend in the run up to the 2020 series, bosses devoted some time to honour Caroline's memory and her dazzling performances in the Strictly ballroom, including her breathtaking show dance to Angels.

She became the first celebrity to ever score three perfect 40s for all her dances in the final.

At the end of Saturday's show Strictly judges and pro dancers shared their memories of Caroline. Her partner in 2014, Pasha Kovalev said: "Caroline will always hold a special place in my heart."

Strictly pro dancer Janette Manrara added: "The highlight was her showdance. You could feel she was lost in the moment. As a performer you can't ask for more. It is a memory I hold close to my heart," and judge Bruno Tonioli said: "We will always love Caroline and we will never forget you my love."

Strictly fans were equally full of emotion as they remembered Love Island host Caroline's triumphant time on the show.

One tweeted: "Last nights tribute to Caroline Flack on @bbcstrictly had me crying my eyes out sooo moving. rip Caroline. I can’t shake it this morning," and another reacted: "Just catching up on #strictly from last night. I was not emotionally prepared for their tribute Caroline Flack.."
