Dating rumours have already sparked between the pair after a very near kiss on last week's show, and they spoke out about the rumours this week.
But this weekend they returned to the dancefloor with another sizzling performance as they danced to Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman while presenter, AJ, was dressed as Medusa for the Halloween special.
The steamy number saw many fans of the show share their love for the couple on Twitter as their chemistry continued to heat up on the dancefloor.
One Twitter user posted a GIF of The Grinch with a cunning grin, with the caption: "The judges mentioning AJ and Kai’s chemistry every week."
Another said: "AJ shines on that dancefloor with Kai, no matter what dance they do! Another pairing I'd like in the final."
While another Tweeted: "AJ’s nephew speaking for all of us there when he asked 'why don’t you just kiss him?'"
Similar thoughts were echoed by host Claudia Winkleman after the couple performed.
Discussing the prospect of the pair locking lips she told them "now is the time" if they wanted to kiss.
The dancing duo didn't share a moment of passion live on air, but they did manage to bag a score of 37 after being awarded their first 9 from judge, Craig Revel Horwood.
