Strictly Come Dancing reveals RuPaul's visit to Michelle Visage's rehearsals - and he describes her dance as 'fantastic'

Michelle Visage said it was "heartwarming" that her best friend RuPaul flew over from the US to watch her in Strictly Come Dancing.

The actor and drag queen, 58, visited the reality star, 51, ahead of her performance tonight with dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

During rehearsals, RuPaul told Visage: "I saw your Cha-Cha. It's perfection. [What is your] second dance?"

She replied: "We're doing a Viennese Waltz," which RuPaul quipped: "There's an ointment for that you know. You won't have to suffer with Viennese anymore."

Speaking about the visit, she said during rehearsals: "It's always heartwarming, being with my best friend for even 10 minutes.

"Being away from home for about a month now, this is just the touch of home that I needed."

After watching the pair dance, RuPaul said: "That was beautiful."

Visage - who last week scored 30 for her Cha-Cha-Cha - danced with Pernice, 29, to Dean Martin's classic That's Amore.

The Italian-themed dance, which saw Visage as a gondola rider while Pernice was her gondelier, scooped the duo 32 points - bringing their total score up to 62, placing them second in the leader board.

The judges were wowed by their performance, with Craig Revel-Horwood describing it as: "Absolutely incredible," and Bruno Tonioli saying: "The interpretation, the detail, the quality of movement, it was beautiful my darling."

Shirley Ballas said: "Last week, sassy, sassy, sassy, sassy. This week, feminine, classy, classy, classy...I don't think you're going anywhere anytime soon," while Motsi Mabuse added: "Last week you came in with a bang and this week the bang is back...you are brilliant, I love it, I love it, I love you."

RuPaul was also delighted with their performance, saying it was "Fantastic".

Other big hitters for the night included Karim Zeroual and his partner Amy Dowden also being awarded 32 points for their Foxtrot to They Way You Look Tonight. The pair are currently at the top of the leader board.

Last week's top scorers Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse were handed 28 points for their Waltz to What the World Needs Now.

The lowest scorer this week was David James' Pasodoble with Nadiya Bychkova, with the pair scoring just 10 points.

Voting is now open and tomorrow will see the first couple leave the competition.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One tomorrow at 7.15pm.
