Strictly Come Dancing result leaves devastated little girl in tears at Caroline Quentin's exit

A young Strictly Come Dancing fan was so devastated by Sunday night's result that she burst into tears and storming out of her living room.

This weekend's Strictly brought more controversy as Maisie Smith landed in the bottom two again, for the second week in succession, despite getting three 9s from the judges for her salsa with pro partner Gorka Marquez.

She was in the dreaded dance-off alongside Caroline Quentin and her partner Johannes Radebe. They too had positive feedback from the panel for their cha cha cha to Rescue Me, but it wasn't enough to keep them out of the drop zone once the judges' scores and public votes were combined.

After both couples danced again it was Caroline and Johannes who left the ballroom, with all three judges opting to keep Maisie and Gorka in the competition.

Plenty of people watching at home were sad to see former Men Behaving Badly actress Caroline go and, as she and Johannes appeared on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two on Monday night, host Zoe Ball revealed one fan had taken the result particularly hard.

Zoe revealed that the show had been sent a video from a family showing their two daughters Freya and Leah reacting to the result.

And the clip showed Leah bursting into tears and sobbing on the sofa before storming out of the room and out of shot.

Reacting to Leah's upset, Johannes said: "Awww me and you both baby, me and you both."

Zoe said: "Lovely little Leah! She's OK now bless her."

When asked if she had a message for the little girl, Caroline responded: "Leah, Leah, it's only fun! It's only fun! It's all fine darling...look, we're still here!"
