Strictly Come Dancing refunds - here's what ticket holders need to know

Dozens of Strictly Come Dancing fans were left bitterly disappointed yesterday after two scheduled SSE Hydro shows were cancelled.

Ticketholders were left out in the rain only to be told the performances had to be cancelled due to a 'water leak', with the Hydro confirming: "We are sorry to announce that this evening’s performance will not go ahead as planned.

"Our venue team has worked hard to resolve the water leak issue and to determine the cause, which has still to be established.

"We further apologise to our customers at today’s matinee performance who had to wait outside the venue in the rain. The safety of our staff, customers and performers is paramount.

Several show-goers hit out at the 'shambles', with some calling the cancellation 'disgraceful' and 'shocking'.

And with many questioning whether they would get their money back, the SSE Hydro confirmed to ticket-holders: "We are liaising with the promoter of the event to reschedule the show, however refunds are available from point of purchase and we sincerely apologise to those affected.

"We ask that customers please contact their point of purchase for a refund."

Meanwhile, Ticketmaster have advised fans to 'hold on to their tickets'.

The Daily Record reports it's believed the organisers of the show are hoping to arrange a rescheduled date for the performance 'very soon'.
