Strictly Come Dancing pros Giovanni Pernice and Jowita Przystal ‘split’ after whirlwind romance

Strictly Come Dancing pros Giovanni Pernice and Jowita Przystal have reportedly “split” three months after their relationship first emerged.

The BBC stars have allegedly parted ways due to “hectic work schedules” as Pernice prepares to be on tour for the next five months.

Sources told The Sun: “As time has passed they have found it increasingly difficult to build on their relationship because of their hectic work schedules.

“Giovanni is on tour for the next five months and trying to make time for each other has proved absolutely impossible.

“Although their relationship has ended Giovanni and Jowita said they will stay good friends. It is just a shame they couldn’t make it work.”

The Standard has contacted Giovanni Pernice and Jowita Przystal’s reps for comment.

Pernice was partnered with Richie Anderson on 2022’s Strictly Come Dancing (PA)

It comes just days after the Italian dancer seemingly confirmed their romance during an interview with the Radio Times where he referred to them as “we”.

While attempting to say that he wasn’t going to discuss the speculation, Pernice slipped up and said: “This was my New Year resolution. We are not talking about anything.”

Picking up on his response, the interviewer asked: “We, so there’s a we?” to which he “smiled silently”.

The pair’s relationship was first reported back in December when their romance was branded the “worst-kept secret”.

It was also claimed at the time that they were spotted kissing backstage at the BBC ballroom stalwart.

The dancers continued to raise eyebrows when they left supportive comments on each other’s Instagram posts following the show, before they were photographed together on Valentine’s Day.

Przystal joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2022 and won the series with her celebrity partner, wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin.

Meanwhile, Pernice has been a pro on the series since 2015 and won the 2021 instalment with EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis.
