Strictly Come Dancing odds put Kelvin Fletcher as red hot favourite after his red hot samba

He wasn't even meant to be on the show this year but Strictly 'super sub' is now the man to beat in the eyes of the bookies after his red hot performance on the first live show.

Called in as a replacement for Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, after he had to withdraw due to injury, ex-Emmerdale actor Kelvin , 35, made an amazing first impression on the judges, the studio audience and millions of viewers at home, with

He got 8 from all four judges, putting at the top of the leaderboard with 32 out of 40 and bookies reckon he'll stay there if week one is anything to go by.

According to Oddschecker , the punters’ favourite too, with 31% of bets in the last 24 hours making him the most backed ahead of Karim Zeroual.

Emma Barton is currently the leading lady in the market at 6/1. She and partner Anton Du Beke received 23 points from the judges.

Rank outsider as things stand is James Cracknell who finished rock bottom of the Strictly leaderboard on Saturday.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Surely the best super-sub since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United, late call-up Kelvin Fletcher is already the one to beat on Strictly.

“The standard was higher than ever before for week one, and it was the ex-Emmerdale heartthrob that stood out by far.

"At the other end of the scale, James Cracknell is the even-money favourite to be the first to go.”
