He may have won the US version of Strictly Come Dancing, but Donny Osmond didn’t go down well with some British viewers when he appeared as a judge on Saturday. Strictly fans took to Twitter to blast the US star over inconsistent scoring and lack of dance knowledge.

Particular scorn was directed at Osmond’s hair, with viewers claiming he appeared to be wearing a wig.

Osmond was also criticised for allegedly lewd comments about the contestants – he told Simon Webbe on his dance with Kristina Rihanoff: “I’ve got to tell you when Kristina went down and you grabbed her thighs … Oh … I’m sure you loved every second of that moment. So did I.”

The Telegraph reports that the BBC said Osmond would not be returning as a judge – Monkey wonders if the star would dare risk the wrath of Strictly fans for a second time.
