Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas shares update after fans spotted 'lump'

Shirley Ballas has shared an update with Strictly Come Dancing fans after they spotted a "lump" underneath one of her arms during the show.

The lead judge on the dancing competition has since visited her doctor, and got back a "concerning" result from a blood test.

She revealed that the results indicated that her hormone levels "weren't right" and said that she would continue to share updates.

Ballas showed her appreciation to the "caring" viewers who got in touch with their concerns, as reported by Birmingham Live.

She took to Instagram to offer the update to concerned fans, and thanked everybody who started her "on this road".

The TV judge said: "The doctor said that she thought my levels were not right, my hormone levels weren't right."

Her testosterone and oestrogen levels were not where they should be, she added.

"All in all, a little concerning for my doctor," Ballas, 61, said.

In the accompanying caption, she wrote: "Any way to each and every one of you who started me on this road thank you so much.

"I'll keep you all updated each and every one of you.

"Remember health is wealth so I'll be on top of these issues for the time being.

"With gratitude to you all."

Fellow Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse responded to Ballas's video, writing: "Take care of yourself."

Olympian Adam Peaty, who is competing in the current series, added: "Sending all my love and positive energy."
