Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood tests positive for Covid and won't feature this weekend

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has tested positive for Covid-19, it was confirmed tonight.

The news means he will miss this weekend's shows, a Strictly spokesperson said.

They said that 'all being well, he will return the following weekend'.

The show spokesperson said Craig would be self-isolating after the positive test result in line with current Government guidelines.

There's been no word from the show on his health.

It's also not been confirmed whether he will be replaced on the judging panel, which usually comprises of Craig, Anton Du Beke, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse.

This weekend is musicals weekend.

On Saturday, Strictly fans were fuming with judge Craig for not 'reading the room' over Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice's powerful routine.

Viewers spellbound by the emotional dance on the hit BBC One show flocked to Twitter after judge Craig denied the pair a perfect score.

The EastEnders actress and her professional partner danced to Symphony by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson on Saturday night.

In a first for the show, the dance featured a silent sequence in honour of the deaf community and Rose's own experiences.

Dragon's Den entrepreneur Sara Davies was the latest celebrity to be voted off Strictly by the judges on Sunday.

Davies and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec failed to impress the public - and the judges - with an Argentine tango.

A Strictly spokesperson said tonight: "Craig Revel Horwood has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.

"While Craig will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, all being well he will return the following week."
