Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood hails Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton romance rumours a ‘success story’

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has branded former contestant Stacey Dooley’s supposed new romance with Kevin Clifton a “success”.

The professional dancer weighed in on the claims the pair, who took home the Glitterball trophy last year, had found love.

He told the Sun: “It will be another Strictly success story. I never call it the Strictly curse, I call it the Strictly blessing. People need to fall in love.

“I hope they live happily ever after.”

Revel Horwood’s comments come after Dooley was forced to respond to her ex-boyfriend’s interview on her supposed new relationship.

Earlier this month Sam Tucknott branded Clifton a “rat” after he blamed him for the breakdown of his relationship with Dooley.

Tucknott slammed the dance professional after claiming he stumbled across an “I love you” message on Dooley’s phone whileclearing the pair’s flat, after they had already agreed to split.

TV presenter Dooley clapped back last week explaining that there are “two sides to every story” but wishes her ex-boyfriend “happiness and success”. She did not confirm or deny reports she is now dating Clifton.

Last week Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid defended Dooley and Clifton over the alleged Strictly curse.

Reid was paired with Clifton back in 2013 and split from her partner Dominic Cotton shortly after the series ended. She has always denied the show was to blame for the breakdown of her relationship.

Speaking on Loose Women, she said: “I call it the Strictly coincidence. Kevin and I got on like a house on fire and is not responsible for the breakup of my relationship. I’m still fantastic friends with my ex and I’m still really good friends with Kevin.”
