Will thought he'd broken a leg after landing straight while jumping off a table.

Host Tess Daly explained to viewers watching at home: "Will suffered a knee injury and absolutely cannot dance tonight."

Will, who was set to perform a jive, explained: "I jumped off a table and as I landed I landed with straight legs.

"I need to come back and come back even stronger next week."

"He's such a lively spirit. He was looking forward to being loud and fun."

A Strictly spokeswoman said: “Sadly, Will Bayley was injured during training and medics have said he cannot dance in the show this weekend.

"Under the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, Will has been granted a bye to next week."
