Strictly Come Dancing final: What time is it on tonight and who are the finalists?

After three months of shimmying, sequins and dance-offs the Strictly Come Dancing final is here, this year with just two couples competing for the glitterball.

Sadly, yesterday, TV presenter AJ Odudu had to pull out because of injury, you can see what she and her dance partner, Kai Widdrington, had to say, here.

AJ's absence means that two couples are performing in the final. They are Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice and John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

The action kicks off tonight on BBC One at 7.10pm and the show will end at 9pm, it's running 10 minutes shorter due to fewer couples dancing.

Each couple will be dancing three dances in a bid to impress viewers, who will vote for their favourite to win. The judges' views will just be guidance this evening and not count towards the final vote.

Rose and Giovanni will be revisiting their couple's choice to Symphony by Clean Bandit ft Zara Larsson, which they performed back in week eight.

During the performance, Rose paid tribute to the deaf community with a silent moment in the dance sequence, earning her 39 points from the judges. The EastEnders actress is the first deaf Strictly contestant and has wowed audiences with her brilliant performances.

Her rival, Great British Bake Off winner and TV chef, John Whaite is part of the show's first male same-sex couple and will be performing again the Pirates of the Caribbean paso doble which scored them 39 points, the highest ever in week three.

The Strictly Come Dancing Final is on tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
