Strictly Come Dancing fans outraged after results of the Christmas special are leaked online

Christmas is still weeks away but it has already been spoilt for Strictly Come Dancing fans after results of the festive special episode have been leaked online.

The winners of the pre-recorded show were posted on social media on Wednesday - barely 24 hours after the cameras stopped rolling.

Some devastated viewers have lamented that the reveal has ‘ruined’ Christmas for them.

The Strictly Spoiler twitter account posted the results and before long people were openly discussing it on the social media platform.

This came shortly after this year’s contestant Michelle Visage was accused of leaking the outcome in an Instagram post, which was quickly deleted.

The stars taking part in the one-off episode are Chizzy Akudolu, Debbie McGee, Gemma Atkinson, Joe Sugg, Mark Wright and Richard Arnold.

The six celebs and their dancing partners will perform a festive routine in a bid to be crowned Christmas champions 2019.

The show will also feature hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman and judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and head judge Shirley Ballas.

The Manchester Evening News knows the outcome of the competition - but do not worry, we will not be revealing it here.

One disgruntled fan tweeted their upset: “You may think you're being clever, leaking the line up for next years Strictly Come Dancing

“But in reality, you've just ruined the reveal for millions of viewers

“Have a f****** word with yourself Spoiler.”

Another viewer ranted to an account that had revealed the results: “YOU HAVE JUST RUINED THE  STRICTLY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL FOR ME DO NOT RUIN IT FOR THOSE TAGGED IN MY TWEET.”

A third said: "I was trying to avoid seeing who won the #strictly Christmas special, until the actual day.

"One day in and somebody spoiled it just with their choice of words, even though they didn't say the name. I'm still excited to watch it all though."

But others mocked the outrage displayed on Twitter, with many pointing out that there are ‘more important things’ to be upset about.

One said: “Quite frankly if you are that horrified by learning the strictly result you have your priorities all wrong with everything going on in the world. It will not affect your life at all one way or the other.”

A second posted: “Omg really!? People really need to realise there’s more important things to be horrified about.”

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on BBC One on Christmas Day.
