Strictly Come Dancing fans notice one thing as Jamie Laing watches replacement Kelvin Fletcher steal the show

Eagle-eyed Strictly Come Dancing fans have noticed an awkward moment during the first competitive show of the series.

BBC viewers spotted Jamie Laing looking, what they believe, less than impressed following Kelvin Fletcher's stellar performance.

The Emmerdale actor was swooped in to replace Made In Chelsea star Jamie at the eleventh hour after he suffered a painful foot injury during the recording of the launch show.

And Kelvin, who is famed for playing Andy Sugden in the ITV soap, pulled out all the stops with a sensational samba.

Strictly fans have gone wild for the hip-shaking routine with his professional dance partner Oti Mabuse during Saturday night's show.

But viewers think that Jamie was 'devastated' after Oldham-born Kelvin and Oti received a standing ovation for the performance as the camera panned to the reality star with 'a look of thunder' on his face.

Ok there Jamie? (BBC)

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "Jamie looks devastated. They keep cutting to his poor puppy face."

Another noted: "Cut to little Jamie Laing’s sad face as he realises we’re all in love with Emmerdale man."

"Poor Jamie's face. Like a packet of out of date mcvities being returned ," commented a third whilst a fourth said: "Jamie Broken Biscuits with a face like thunder there," both making reference to Jamie being the heir to the McVities biscuit throne.

"Jamie's fuuuuuming #Strictly ," added another.

Whilst a final comment said: "Screaming at Jamie’s Laings face lmaoooo he knows he f****d up #Strictly."

Kelvin and Oti danced the samba to La Vida Es Un Carnaval by Celia Cruz- and they powered straight to the top of the leaderboard with an impressive score of 32 out of a possible 40.

And the performance has sent viewers WILD .

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
