Strictly Come Dancing fans in shock over dance off announcement

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left shocked after the first duo to enter last night’s dance-off was announced.

Show hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman quickly set about announcing the all important results for Halloween week.

But viewers were left "puzzled beyond belief" when Tess announced the first couple entering the dance-off - along with head judge Shirley Ballas who said she was "so shocked".

Adam Peaty and Katya Jones were announced as the first couple who might be leaving the competition, Birmingham Live reports.

Betty said: "Actually really surprised by this.

"Whereas I think Adam could’ve been in the dance off in previous weeks I felt his Vwaltz was technically his best dance yet. Puzzled beyond belief. #Strictly"

Olivia agreed: "#Strictly Omg no way!"

Scott Birrell added: "No!!!!!!!!!!#Strictly"

Lyndyloo said: "Noooo not Adam #Strictly"

Suzy commented: "Adam in dance off and not Sara. What's going on?"

And AJ wrote: "Ah yes, the shock danceoff candidate right there #strictly #scd"

The couple faced the dance off against Judi Love and her partner Graziano di Prima.

Head judge Shirley Ballas criticised Adam after the dance on Saturday, saying he needed to improve his posture.

She said: "But I want to give you a small tip. If you continue in the competition, something you must get right.

"And that is your derrière, darling. You must take your derrière and take itunder your body."

After missing last week's show due to Judi testing positive for Covid-19, the pair bounced back on Saturday night with their latest routine.

But it was not enough to keep them away from the bottom of the leaderboard and the couple were the latest to be voted off the show.
