Strictly Come Dancing fans hit back at 'sexist' detail after Kaye Adam's result

Household favourite Strictly Come Dancing is back on our small screens and flying the flag but fans slammed the judging for being 'unfair', with some calling it 'sexist'.

Flying the flag for Scotland is Loose Woman and journalist, Kaye Adams. She danced the tango with Kai Widdrington and after a couple of footwork mishaps, the judges scored her 21 out of 40.

This weekend's show was the launch and the public didn't get to vote which meant no one was voted out. It gives the contestants and judges a chance to show off what they're starting with before the public gets to have their say from October 1.

However, according to Daily Express, one viewer called the scores as 'sexist' after Loose Women panellist Kaye Adams got higher points than some of her co-stars.

One tweeted: "Craig watching Kym, Tyler and Jayde before Kaye and scoring her higher than them all was an interesting choice…".

Another said it was 'predictably chaos', adding: "Especially Craig scoring everyone 4 before inexplicably giving Kaye a 6?".

And a third asked: "Craig gave Kaye a 6?!? After giving everyone else a 4."

Meanwhile another fan fumed: "How did Craig give Kaye a 6?!"

Another agreed: "Why is Craig scoring Kaye and Richie more than Kym and Tyler?!"

And a sixth commented: "Sexist scoring much... Kaye got a better score?"

Meanwhile, other fans hit back, complaining that singer Matt Goss was 'undermarked' for his quick step. The Bros heartthrob landed only above Tony on the table with 20 points, just below Kaye with 21 points.

One tweeted: "MATT BEING BELOW KAYE EHHH."

A second agreed: "Matt Goss criminally undermarked - worse than the Loose Woman? I think not."

However on the night, judges weren't overly critical of the celebrites as it was their first go - with it being the first time some of them has danced.

Motsi praised Kaye for her "control and composure". She added: "Just standing there looking so elegant...You got together... a bit of a mistake, the nerves took over. But we saw so much potential."

The star was cheered on in the audience by Loose Women co-stars Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore.

One fan wrote: "Sorry but how great does Kaye look? Stunning!".

Another praised: "Kaye and kai- 6. She took me by surprise. Great choreography by kai. She just needs to gain more confidence."

Kaye has since taken to Instagram to admit that her nerves did take over as she kept focussing on how she would dance at the age of 59. However after an 'epiphany', she is ready for another week.

She wrote on Instagram: "I've had a bit of time to reflect on last night and while I'm still kicking myself for messing up my steps and letting down @kaiwidd, I've also had something of an epi-f***y about it all (Yes I know that's not how it's spelt but I'm a 59 year old child!)

"Onwards and upwards!"
