Strictly Come Dancing Christmas winner leaks online weeks early and fans are thrilled

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left thrilled as the winner of the upcoming Christmas special has been leaked online.

The show which was filmed two weeks before it airs on BBC One has seen the likes of George Website, Rickie Haywood-Williams, Nicola Roberts, Rosie Ramsay, Larry Lamb and Alexandra Mardell take to the famous ballroom.

However, with the show being pre-recorded, it faced the risk of the results leaking which frequently happens during the recording of the main programme.

In true Strictly style, it appears a mole had been at the recording and instantly shared the results with fellow fans of the dancing competition.

Fans, however, were elated, with one writing: "Awww yay. Small justice for last year. I'll take it."

While a second added: "Really happy with that!!"

"OMG yes, go on!" exclaimed another.

Before a fourth typed: "My favourites won!! Yassss!"

In the past, BBC bosses and the Strictly judges have lashed out at fans who have leaked the results online but the person behind the leaks says they make the show more bearable.

Anton Du Beke said: " It gets on my nerves. Please stop, I don't know who you are but please stop, don't do it. Why would you do it? Nobody knows who it is.

The audience, like the people who go to [Agatha Christie murder mystery play] The Mousetrap for example, which has been going for years, we're all in it together.

"Knowledge is power and all that sort of stuff, everyone has an agreement we won’t say anything, so I don’t know who does it."

This year, Larry Lamb is the oldest ever male contestant to appear on the show aged 75, despite struggling with his health in recent months.

Despite battling his way to the dance floor, his partner Nadiya Bychkova has revealed it was "challenging" for the EastEnders legend.

During a new interview with The Sun, the professional dancer said: "It's incredible he's going to be dancing.

"It's quite a challenge because he couldn't walk a couple of years ago because of some health problems and operations.

"It's not my thing to say really, but for him now to dance, it's exciting.

"Larry is a legend, people love him. When I found out and told everyone, people couldn't believe it. It's Christmas and it's fun, so I'm really looking forward to it."
